ABOUT

Mónika Izing’s work re-imagines what it means to live with a diseased body. She draws from her personal experience of living with Lupus to investigate how the hidden parts of disease function inside and outside of the human anatomy. She depicts images that balances the vulnerable state of the body with a sense of strength that feels both honest and alluring.
